学習目標
Kate Chopin's The Awakening is a pioneer work in awakening Americans to the gender issue. We will read Chopin and Twain to study how women chose their lives.
授業概要
Lectures will be given to analyze closely each text. Class discussions will follow. A reading test will be given at the start of class to check on how well you have read it in English. The final exam will be an essay exam in English on one question.

Evaluation will be based on the final essay exam, participation in the discussions and reading tests.
