This course aims at understanding features of discourse that shape our understanding of society. Through frequent workshops and group projects, students are encouraged to think critically about the social role of mediated language.
授業概要
This course will focus on language use in specific contexts. We will observe several media contexts in which language takes a form specific to the given context. Students work in groups, collect their data, analyze them collaboratively, and present their findings in class.
