授業概要 |
This course is designed to give English majors a strong foundation in writing by developing students' ability to express ideas in English using accurate and sophisticated English. Students will practice their sentence-level and paragraph writing skills and then learn how to plan, draft, revise, and edit an academic essay. Students will practice both descriptive and argumentative writing. Students are expected to develop the ability to assess and edit their own work and to become independent writers with a sense of ownership of their work. Writing will be based on students' personal experiences as well as a variety of texts from this course and other required 2nd year courses. |
