The basis of American fiction in the twentieth century was created by the modernists and the Lost Generation. We will read works by Ernest Hemingway and William Faulkner to learn how these masters of fiction express the breadth and complexity of American themes.
授業概要
Lectures will be given to analyze closely each text. Class discussions will follow. A reading test will be given at the start of studying each work to check on how well you have read it. The final exam will be an essay exam on one question.
