This course is centered on the close reading and analysis of Virginia Woolf's Mrs Dalloway (1925), known for its modernist techniques which enable the reader to gain an insight into our inner lives.

We will first discuss the significance of Virginia Woolf as a modernist writer and then deal with related aesthetic and cultural topics to explore some underlying themes of the novel.
