By the end of the course, learners should be able to 1.explain in their own words current ideas about how a second language is learned, 2. explain the learner's role in second language learning, 3. design, carry out and report on a group project investigating learners' roles in second language learning

This course introduces students to the basic theories about second language learning and provides guidance in carrying out a simple research project using a questionnaire.
