This course is designed as an introduction to the British novel. Through extensive reading of the retold versions of several classic stories, students will be equipped with the basic skills necessary to analyze and interpret fiction. Some basic literary terms will also be introduced.
授業概要
We will first read two classic stories in graded readers, referring when necessary to their original authentic texts. Students will then be advised to choose their own readings from the selection at the English Reading Corner in the library. They are expected to read each book in one or two weeks.
