1. Review and practice the basic academic reading skills learned in 1st year English. 2. Introduce and develop higher level reading skills, including inferencing, synthesizing and evaluating text content. 3. Expand and build students' vocabulary through contextual clues, grammar structure and the use of a dictionary. 4. Build confidence in students' reading abilities, and additionally, create a reading environment that can be enjoyed by students.
授業概要
The course aims to develop academic reading skills and strategies with an emphasis on vocabulary building through reading texts. Both intensive and extensive reading will be practiced, and students will have opportunities for independent study through technology supported materials.
