This course is centered on the close reading and analysis of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Particular attention will be paid to the historical aspects of this novel of manners.
授業概要
Using a fully annotated edition, we will attempt to see how the material elements, such as food, fashion, and houses, of the novel help to deepen our understanding of the psychological interplay of the characters.
