授業概要
The last 5 decades have generated intense activity aorund fairy tales. This class covers some basic critical terms, concepts and approaches necessary to the study of fairytales in order to fully appreciate their dynamic intertextuality and intermedial potential. Rather than identifying a dominant methodology, this class aims to offer suggestions to promote approaches that can rethink the past and deal with new forms of production and reception. A selection of fairy tales and their adaptations from diverse cultures will be considered in class.
