By the end of the course, students will be able to: 1. Analyze how native speakers of English manipulate prosodic features in different types of discourse. 2. Describe the differences of prosodic features of English and Japanese. 3. Analyze how prosodic features are effectively used in nursery rhymes, children's books, and textbooks.
授業概要
This course is the continuation of 4年英語学演習2-1. The second semester focuses on prosodic features such as stress, rhythm and intonation. Students will practice analyzing the prosodic features of English using movies, TV dramas, formal speeches, children's books, and textbooks.
