This course will introduce some important areas of study and analytical approaches, as well as some key issues, that are currently discussed in media studies. The aim of this course is to familiarize students with past and present media theories in the United States and the U.K. We will also seek to analyze some of the current trends in the media and its effects on our national and global cultures.
