Course Objective: This course will focus on helping the student to continue to develop essential, practical skills which will help her to communicate clearly, concisely and confidently in English. The course will stress Communication Skills through a variety of tasks: small group discussions and presentations; the use of audio -visual materials, etc. Topics will be timely, and of high interest.

These factors will play a significant role in determining one's grade: active participation; quality/completion of work/overall progress; the ability to express oneself clearly/concisely/confidently (in written/oral work); mandatory attendance.

Everyone is expected to participate and speak in English. Each student will be encouraged to be creative, and to make positive contributions to the class/group discussions. Written work is to be typed, double-spaced, A-4 paper. No late work, please.
