The goal of this course is for students to build on their current oral English skills and develop a greater mastery of the skills used in speaking English naturally and fluently. An emphasis will be placed on using conversation management skills used in everyday English, but some time will also be spent on speaking effectively before a large group. Students will be expected to participate actively in pairs, small groups, before the class, and with the teacher.

Evaluation will be based on active class participation, an exam at the end of each semester, and two or three class projects.
